What is Physiotherapy?

Physiotherapy involves the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of pain and injuries using a variety of questioning, movement assessment and palpation of soft tissues and joints. All of our clinicians are educated to a Masters level and registered with the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists.

What to expect

  • Initial Discussion: This is where we will take a detailed and comprehensive history of your current issue and all previous injuries. This provides us with a timeline and picture into how the symptoms developed and what factors may be contributing to your pain.

  • Movement Assessment: We will then ask you to do a few movements and perform some tests to assess how you are moving and what limitations you may have.

  • After gaining a clear picture of your symptoms we will then provide treatment to help relax and reduce these symptoms

  • After your symptoms have settled, we will continue the process of improving your mobility and strength to reduce the risk of recurrence. This will be done through an individually tailored exercise program with accompanying videos of every exercise.
